So first-time main live stage pe thi, Arjun bhi that wahan pe. Hum log UP main huge crowd ke beech the, samjh lo 25 se 30 hazar logo ke beech main the. My first live stage performance where I was hosting with Ayushmann Khurrana during Dum Laga Ke Haisha. Aur hume Saif sir (Saif Ali Khan) ke saath ek interaction karni thi, it was the song Ole Ole. Maine kiya and by the fourth Ole I fell. And puri audience thi ofcourse woh sab hasi, mere liye woh comedy bilkul nahi tha. But inside it’s funny”.

Not just commercial” Continuing, she said, “I think Dum Laagake Haisha and Thank You For Coming are extreme ends of the spectrum. But not at all, I have done a Badhaai Do, Son Chidhiya, Sandhya Ki Aankh, Pati Patni Aur Woh. So I don’t think any of my characters were similar, shayad woh ek similar social strata se aate honge.“
She added, “They have never been the same girl. Maine humesha ek different dialect adopt kiya hai apne films ke liye mera language pe control bahut acha hai. So I don’t think I have ever been boxed. And, honestly with the fear of being boxed I will never say no to work. I am very very fortunate that in the last 10 years I have gotten the opportunity to do such diverse work. And I am very proud of my work. I’m dying to do a heartland film.”
Bhumi Pednekar on being questioned as an actor
About being questioned about her choices in the film, Pednekar answered, “Every actor and creative person is questioned for their choices. I think being a girl you are questioned for everything, every decision or choice is being questioned. So I am very thick-skinned, I don’t care about what people think. I care about what audience think. And they have accepted me with a lot of love.”
Arjun Kapoor praises his co-star Bhumi for taking chances in life. He says it should be a celebrated thing rather than questioned.
